Piper’s story
We rescued our Border Collie Piper as a pup who had been transferred from a humane society in Texas to our home state of Colorado. At 4 months old she was diagnosed dysplasia in both hips. Her ability to run and do other activities would be limited so that she would only be able to sit on the sidelines and watch our other two dogs running and playing. She does enjoy going for short walks so we take her whenever possible. She is now seven years old and takes medication for the arthritis in her hips She is a happy girl and a loving companion and has adapted well to her condition..
